A. Illegality

Generally speaking, any decision made by a public body must be made according to the law. In essence, every decision-maker needs to have a correct understanding of the law, whether it be the law which regulates how a decision should be made, as well as the law which gives effect to a decision. A decision made contrary to these principles may be set aside through judicial review.
