4. What decisions can be made for children if a parent is granted custody of his/her children?
The parent who is granted custody would be able to make major decisions regarding the child’s upbringing, including those that affect the child’s medical care, health issues, education, religious believe etc. The parent granted sole custody, while having the final say on major decisions, must also consult the non-custodial parent on making these decisions.
