4. Offences in relation to impeding officers in the exercise of various criminal ingestigation powers

Under section 66I of the Ordinance, a person, without lawful excuse, obstructs, hinders or resists any officers or a person assisting the officers in exercising the powers under section 66G (in relation to search of premises and access of electronic devices) and section 66H (in relation to stop, search and arrest) of the Ordinance, commits an offence.

The maximum penalty is a fine of HK$10,000 and imprisonment for 6 months.
